As instructors, they have developed a modern systemic approach to teaching traditional tango. Their goal as teachers is to instill strong fundamentals by emphasizing technique, analytical thinking, logic, naturalness and comfort in both the close and open embrace. Ivan and Sara encourage students to look for connection, quality of movement, creative expression and musicality to make their dance uniquely their own.
Max and Solange are Argentine Tango dancers, teachers and choreographers. In 2011, they consecrated as World Tango Stage Champions, which was a milestone in their young career. That same year they also obtained the 10th place in the Salon Tango category.
Max and Solange have been dancing as a couple for the past eight years. During this time, not only did they get recognized awards worldwide, but they have also worked for some of the most recognized tango houses in Buenos Aires, like Tango Porteño and Gala Tango. This young couple has been part of the companies Tempo Tango, Bs. As. Pasión de Tango and Tango Fire with which they have made several international tours in USA, South Africa, England and China. Currently they are part of the cast of Immortal Tango, the new project by renowned choreographer Germán Cornejo, which recently premiered at the Peacock Theater in London.
The professional experience of Max and Solange also extends to the fields of education and training, since both have shared their extensive knowledge in important Festivals of tango and special workshops around more than 20 countries, including Italy, Japan, Turkey, Greece, Germany, Poland, France, Spain, Russia, Romania, among others.
Csongor Kicsi breathes tango every moment of his life! He has been a dancer from the age of 4 , when he began with ballroom sports dances. Soon after Argentine Tango entered his life in 2010; he fell in love with tango and decided to dedicate his life and dancing career to it.
Antonella – ladies, let’s admit, when Antonella is dancing, all we can think is: “Wow, I want to do that too!” Well, you can! Join their workshops and learn to fly on the ronda! Coming from a family of artists, her love for dance started when she was little, experiencing various types of dances. This only made her more capable to use different tools to make students understand their bodies and how to explore the depths of tango. Her explanations are clear and easy to understand.
In this year’s Tango Story Festival we want to dedicate a hole chapter to some of Romania’s best tango stories! For this reason, we have the pleasure to have with us one Romania’s strongest couple of teachers and performers: HORIA CALIN POP and IOANA LASCU!
They are awesome teachers, great performers and the organizers of Romania’s biggest tango festival! Their partnership has grown and evolved through the years, having now the greatest longevity as a Romanian couple! Be there with us on the 24-27 of October to see them!
Sometimes tango stories turn into beautiful romances! Joining this chapter of Tango Story are the Moldavian couple to be, straight from Iasi: CRISTI and IULIA CRANG! If you are from Romania, you know them for sure, as they are amazing teachers, great tango promoters, one of the best festival organizers in Romania and one of the most present couple in the Romanian tango community.
